Cheviot Sheepdogs was created in 2007 by Joe McRobert and Sue Horn. We are based in a beautiful setting high in the hills in the Scottish Borders, next to the river Tweed.

Sue, helps Joe with the sheep, she also has a varied collection of poultry, waterfowl and ornamental birds, from which she sells hatching eggs and breeds from..

Sue also enjoys sheepdog trialling, but currently doesn't have a dog for the nursery trials.

Cheviot is the prefix of any litters of puppies that we breed

Joe is now retired from shepherding full time, he is however not fully retired as we do still have approximately 300 sheep of our own to look after.

Joe stills enjoys sheepdog trialling, and likes to find a good young dog each year to take to the nursery trials.
